This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Delphi Developer for a Sustainability SaaS based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to apply your Delphi expertise to software that supports sustainability and climate-focused decision-making.
You will:
- Develop, maintain, and modernize core applications while helping improve their quality, performance, scalability, and usability.
- Work on complex technical challenges, integrate applications with APIs and databases, and contribute to the evolution of established platforms.
- Support migrations toward newer technologies and improve long-term maintainability.
- Join a highly international, expert team where autonomy, open communication, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
- With a fully remote European setup, this is an opportunity to make a direct technical contribution to technology supporting the transition toward a lower-carbon future.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Delphi, Object Pascal, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and fellow developers to deliver new functionality and improve existing features.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and reliable code, including solutions involving complex algorithms.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and other quality-assurance activities.
- Analyse and optimise application performance, scalability, reliability, and overall user experience.
- Integrate applications with external and internal technologies, including APIs, databases, and web components.
- Produce and maintain technical specifications, development documentation, processes, and code documentation.
- Contribute to the modernization of existing software and the migration of selected functionality to newer platforms where appropriate.
- Identify technical improvements and contribute to development practices that support long-term maintainability.
- Work independently on assigned initiatives while collaborating effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.

Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Delphi and a solid understanding of Object Pascal and Delphi frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement efficient, maintainable, and complex algorithms.
- Practical experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, engineering best practices, testing, debugging, and code quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership while also contributing effectively within a collaborative, remote-first team.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, as English is the working language.
- Experience with Python and C#/.NET is an advantage.
- Interest in software modernization, new technologies, and continuously improving development practices is valued.
