Delta Reach Contracts Manager | Oldham, Greater Manchester | Full Time | £40,000–£45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced manager who enjoys leading a team, taking ownership and building strong working relationships with both clients and employees?

Our client is an established specialist provider in the construction and engineering sector, operating from Oldham and serving a diverse range of project needs within the industry. They are part of a group of niche companies focused on delivering technical services such as working at height solutions, height safety compliance and maintenance.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Delta Reach department, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably while maintaining the high standards clients expect.

You will work closely with the Group Operations Director to develop the department, improve systems and processes, and support the continued growth of the business. The role will involve UK-wide travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Delta Reach department
  • Plan and coordinate labour, plant, equipment and other resources
  • Manage contracts from order through to completion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact
  • Produce, review and approve RAMS and job documentation
  • Lead health and safety and ensure compliance across the department
  • Manage, support and develop office and site personnel
  • Carry out appraisals, investigations and recruitment where required
  • Manage training requirements and staff competencies
  • Monitor departmental performance, profitability, invoicing and KPIs
  • Work with the Group Operations Director to develop and improve the department
  • Support business development and maintain existing client relationships

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum of 5 years' previous managerial experience.
  • Experience managing teams within construction or a related industry
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making ability
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and use computer-based planning and management systems
  • Good commercial awareness and experience managing budgets or contract performance
  • Experience planning labour and resources
  • Adaptable and able to respond positively to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • SMSTS qualification
  • Experience within height safety, rope access, working at height or specialist access
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Experience producing or reviewing RAMS
  • Knowledge of construction health and safety legislation
