Demand Generation Manager

B2B SaaS | Remote | Up to £70,000 plus equity

Some of the most valuable businesses in the world still rely on one of the most frustrating workplace processes around: manual timesheets.

This SaaS business was built to change that. Its technology uses AI to automatically capture how people spend their working day and turn that activity into accurate timesheets, helping agencies, consultancies and software businesses recover billable time, understand profitability and make better decisions about how their teams are being used.

What makes the proposition particularly interesting is the philosophy behind the product. Automation should make work easier, not create another form of employee surveillance. The platform has been built around privacy by design, giving individuals control over their own activity data with no screenshots, keystroke monitoring or hidden tracking.

That combination of AI, automation and employee trust has helped the business build an international customer base, with more than 20,000 users and a strong foothold across professional services, agencies, consultancies and technology businesses. It is solving a deceptively simple problem with very real commercial consequences: missed billable hours, poor utilisation data and limited visibility over where teams are actually making money.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Now the product is established and the business has reached around £5.5m ARR with a lean team of roughly 30 people. The next challenge is growth. They want to move from good marketing activity to a far more predictable acquisition engine, with a clear understanding of which channels are creating qualified pipeline and where future investment should go.

That is where the Demand Generation Manager comes in.

You will take ownership of demand generation across paid and organic acquisition, working closely with Sales against shared revenue goals. Paid search, paid social, SEO, content distribution, partnerships, nurture and lifecycle activity will all form part of the picture, but the focus is firmly on commercial outcomes rather than vanity metrics.

This is a role for someone who enjoys getting close to the numbers. You will test channels, manage budget, improve conversion journeys and build nurture programmes that move the right prospects through the funnel. You will also help tighten the MQL to SQL process, own the marketing side of HubSpot and give leadership a clear view of CAC, lead quality, channel ROI and pipeline contribution.

The opportunity is broader than simply running campaigns. You are joining at the point where the company wants to build a repeatable demand generation function from the ground up. If you can identify what works and prove the economics, there is genuine scope to shape future investment and ultimately build out the function around you.

You will likely bring around 4 to 6 years of B2B SaaS demand generation or growth marketing experience, with hands on responsibility for paid media budget, a good understanding of SEO and organic acquisition, and confidence using CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot. More than anything, you will be comfortable owning a number and being accountable for the pipeline your work creates.

For someone who wants autonomy, commercial visibility and the chance to build rather than inherit, this is a particularly interesting stage to join. You will be marketing a genuinely differentiated product, solving a clear business problem, inside a company where your impact will be easy to see.
