An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and analytical Demand Planner to join a fast-growing, privately owned retail organisation with a strong national presence. The Role

You will be responsible for delivering accurate demand forecasts and supporting effective replenishment strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure optimal stock availability while driving insights to support trading and promotional activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to ensure appropriate stock levels.
  • Design and build dashboards within forecasting systems (e.g. RELEX) to provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Review and refine forecasts to reflect seasonal trends and promotional activity.
  • Act as a super user of AI-driven forecasting and replenishment systems, managing updates, testing, and implementation of changes.
  • Investigate discrepancies between forecast and actual sales, identifying root causes and improving model accuracy.
  • Manage and resolve ordering exceptions.
  • Create and maintain efficient ordering schedules to support stock availability.
  • Review promotional allocations at store level, ensuring accuracy and alignment with plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Buying and Stock teams on product ranges, forecast exceptions, and demand-impacting activities.

About You

  • Previous experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain within retail or FMCG.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
  • Experience with forecasting or replenishment systems is advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI/analytics tools.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong commercial awareness with confident communication skills.
