About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, fast-growing hair and beauty brand seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Demand Planner to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping demand forecasts, optimising inventory levels, and ensuring product availability across a rapidly scaling business. Flexible remote working is offered.
Having launched just a few years ago, the brand has experienced exceptional growth and established itself as one of the UK's fastest-growing names in the beauty industry, earning recognition from both the Sunday Times and the UK Beauty Awards.
As the Demand Planner, you will lead the forecasting and inventory planning function, ensuring stock strategies support business objectives, new product launches, promotional activity, and seasonal demand. Working cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance, you'll be instrumental in balancing commercial growth with operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a rolling 12-month demand forecast across all SKUs, aligning plans with revenue targets and growth ambitions.
- Analyse sales performance, market trends, seasonality and promotional activity to build accurate demand forecasts.
- Lead the monthly forecasting cycle, identifying risks, opportunities and forecast variances for key stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory levels and create replenishment recommendations based on demand projections, lead times and business requirements.
- Proactively mitigate risks related to stock shortages, excess inventory and product discontinuations.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure production plans align with forecasted demand.
- Review slow-moving and ageing inventory, recommending actions to improve stock efficiency and sell-through performance.
- Support inventory planning for new product launches, promotional campaigns and expansion opportunities.
- Develop and maintain reporting across key planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, stock cover, inventory turnover and service levels.
- Use data and customer insights to identify trends, opportunities and operational improvements, presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Ecommerce, Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure plans reflect evolving business priorities.
- Continuously refine forecasting, planning and inventory management processes as the business continues to scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
