π Role Overview
As our Demand Planner, you'll lead the rolling 12-month demand reviews with our commercial teams and turn their plans into an accurate forecast.
You'll work closely with Sales, Brand & Marketing, Finance, Procurement and Production Planning, and support the wider S&OP objectives.
It isn't just about owning the forecast. A big part of the role is helping commercial colleagues plan effectively, so the forecast gets better every cycle.
π€ Key Responsibilities
Leading S&OP Weeks 1β2 Reviews with Commercial
- Lead the weeks 1β2 review with Sales, Brand & Marketing, bringing the latest sales, stock and forecast position to every session
- Capture all commercial inputs (listings, promotions, activations and launches) in the forecast, each with a clear owner and deadline
- Coach commercial colleagues on effective planning: what good input looks like, how far in advance it's needed, and how late changes affect stock and service levels
- Use forecast accuracy and bias to show where inputs have landed or missed, building planning capability across the team over time

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Forecasting
- Maintain the rolling 12-month demand forecast across all SKUs and channels: DTC, UK retail and international
- Support scenario planning on launches, price changes and promotions
- Maintain and refine forecast accuracy KPIs, and flag where and why accuracy is slipping
Supply & Operations
- Share stock and demand updates with Ops, including Procurement and Production Planning, to feed supply planning and the regular MRP run
- Actively manage stock risks across the portfolio
- Flag demand changes to the Supply Planning team so the right decisions are made early
Data & Reporting
- Analyse historical sales data across all channels to spot trends and anomalies
- Keep forecast data clean, well organised and centrally stored
- Run and maintain dashboards and reports on forecast accuracy, weeks cover and stock risk for Sales, Ops and the Founders
S&OP & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare the demand view for each S&OP cycle and make sure commercial review decisions are reflected in the final plan
- Partner with Finance to align the volume forecast with the P&L, budgets and S&OP
- Help embed our demand planning and S&OP routines across the business
- Suggest and build improvements to tools, templates and automations (e.g. Excel, Power Query) that save time or improve accuracy
π― What Success Looks Like
- 30 days: You know the forecast model, data sources and S&OP calendar, have sat in on the commercial reviews and have met each stakeholder
- 60 days: You're leading the weeks 1β2 review, with inputs captured and actions followed up. The first forecast accuracy report has gone to Sales, Ops and the Founders
- 90 days: You run the full cycle independently, commercial colleagues bring inputs earlier and in the right format, and you've proposed at least one improvement to our tools or process
β Requirements
Must-Haves
- Experience in demand planning, supply chain or commercial analysis, ideally in food and drink or FMCG
- Advanced Microsoft Excel: pivots, lookups and Power Query, with the ability to build and maintain a forecast model
- Confidence leading a meeting with commercial colleagues, questioning their inputs and explaining the impact of late changes
- Patience and credibility when coaching colleagues who aren't planners on with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Ops
- Full right to work in the UK
- AI-first mentality β you actively use AI to improve how you work, from forecasting and analysis to reporting and automation
