About the Role
As Demand Planner, you'll drive inventory performance by ensuring the right stock is available at the right time. Using data-driven insights and forecasting expertise, you'll influence key business decisions, optimise stock outcomes, and enhance the customer experience across stores and online.
What You'll Be Doing
- Forecast Demand with Confidence - Lead end-to-end demand forecasting across your categories, including base sales, promotional activity, new product launches, and opportunity buys to ensure optimal stock availability across all channels.
- Turn Data into Action - Analyse sales performance, market trends, seasonal patterns, and external factors to identify opportunities and provide valuable insights that support commercial decision-making.
- Align Planning with Strategy - Partner closely with Category teams to ensure demand forecasts align with merchandise plans, while conducting post-promotional reviews to continuously improve forecasting accuracy.
- Drive Inventory Performance - Manage replenishment planning and inventory levels, place timely purchase orders, and proactively address excess, aged, or slow-moving stock to support profitability and service levels.
- Collaborate Across the Business - Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, working together to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
