DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

About the Role

The Geo Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining demand forecasts for Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) products and solutions within an assigned geography. This role partners closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Supply Chain teams to translate business insights and market trends into accurate demand and supply plans.

The successful candidate will play a key role in balancing customer demand, inventory availability, and business objectives while supporting a high level of customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts across multiple product categories and planning horizons.
  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, business drivers, and customer demand patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Create and maintain planning assumptions and volume forecasts for products and associated options.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Supply Chain teams to gather business insights and incorporate them into forecasting activities.
  • Facilitate forecast review and consensus planning discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Provide planning inputs to Supply Chain teams to support inventory strategies, new product introductions, product transitions, and phase-outs.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, and planning documentation to support business decision-making.

Key Activities

Forecast Development & Analysis

  • Gather, validate, and analyze demand-related data.
  • Develop statistical forecasts and planning models.
  • Perform forecast error analysis and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Consolidate and communicate forecast assumptions and results.

Business Partnership

  • Review product roadmaps, lifecycle plans, and key demand drivers with stakeholders.
  • Present forecasts and planning recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Support alignment between business plans and supply chain planning activities.

Planning Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain data accuracy within demand planning tools and systems.
  • Monitor planning metrics and forecast performance trends.
  • Prepare regular planning reports and business insights for stakeholders.

Key Results:

  • Accurate and actionable demand forecasts that support business planning and customer requirements.
  • Effective collaboration across Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Continuous improvement of forecasting processes, tools, and planning methodologies.
  • Strong execution of inventory planning and customer replenishment strategies.
  • Timely identification and communication of business risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with large data sets and translating insights into business recommendations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with demand planning, forecasting, or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Power Query, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience supporting global or regional planning activities within a technology or manufacturing environment.

For Slovakia only: The anticipated initial gross base monthly salary range for this position is 1,892 EUR - 2,768 EUR per month, depending on experience, plus 12% variable pay based on annual earnings. This range applies to the primary job location Slovakia and is determined using objective, non-discriminatory and gender-neutral criteria, including skills and relevant experience. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
