About The Role

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you’ll play an important role in the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen at the Daylesford Organic store and restaurant in Pimlico. This is a hands-on opportunity for a chef with strong foundations who is ready to take the next step in their career, develop their skills, and build confidence within a professional kitchen environment.

Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you’ll gain valuable experience, guidance, and mentorship while developing the precision, organisation, creativity, and resilience required to progress as a chef.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, eager to learn, and looking to build a long-term career while developing their knowledge and appreciation of fresh, seasonal, organic produce.

SALARY: £13.10 per hour

HOURS: 32 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support your section chef in executing dishes to high standards, following menu specifications with accuracy
  • Complete mise-en-place and ensure your section is fully prepared for service each day
  • Uphold high standards of kitchen organisation, cleanliness, and food hygiene
  • Work efficiently under pressure, maintaining consistency and attention to detail during busy periods
  • Develop strong knowledge of seasonal ingredients, much of which is sourced from Daylesford Farm
  • Learn and grow through mentoring from our Head Chef, contributing to the team with energy and enthusiasm
  • Actively support our sustainability commitments as a B Corp, respecting seasonal produce and minimising waste

Skills And Requirements

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a restaurant, café, deli, or hospitality environment
  • A genuine passion for food and a desire to develop your culinary skills
  • Good understanding of basic cooking techniques, preparation, and kitchen practices
  • Ability to follow recipes, specifications, and instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality and presentation of your work
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to manage your time effectively during busy service
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Calm and professional approach, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and respond positively to feedback
  • High standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and kitchen organisation
  • An interest in fresh, seasonal, and organic produce
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for developing a career in food and hospitality
