Demi Chef de Partie | Another Place, The Lake | 45 hours per week

An unforgettable holiday experience set within 18 acres of the Lake District National Park, Another Place offers a private lakeshore, breathtaking views over Ullswater and the surrounding fells, and a team that values connection, flexibility, variety and challenge. Our Demi Chef de Partie Role:

We're looking for a passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team.

Working across both The Living Space and our Rampsbeck Restaurant, you'll play an important role in preparing and delivering exceptional dishes whilst maintaining consistently high standards in every aspect of the kitchen.

Whether you're preparing for service, supporting our chefs or developing your culinary skills, you'll be part of a team that's committed to creating memorable dining experiences for every guest.

This is a full-time position working 45 hours per week.

As our Demi Chef de Partie you’ll:

  • Prepare and cook food to consistently high standards.
  • Set up kitchen sections ready for service.
  • Work alongside our Sous Chefs and wider kitchen team to deliver smooth service.
  • Prepare ingredients and assist with all aspects of food preparation, storage and service.
  • Ensure dishes are presented to the required standard every time.
  • Monitor food quality, stock rotation and storage in line with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Operate and care for kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Keep up to date with recipes, menus and presentation standards.
  • Complete daily Risk Proof checks.
  • Support stock replenishment and help maintain organised back-of-house areas.
  • Lead by example, contributing to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.

What we're looking for:

You'll be someone who enjoys working as part of a busy kitchen team and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food.

You'll also bring:

  • A passion for great food and the hospitality industry.
  • Creativity and knowledge of quality ingredients.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Professional presentation and excellent personal hygiene.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery.
  • NVQ Level 1 Food Hygiene (or equivalent).
