Democracy Development Coordinator

KCLSU is looking for a Democracy Development Coordinator to work within the Community Engagement Department to develop and deliver KCLSU's democratic practices, protocols, and procedures for its 55,000 members and 400+ Student Groups.

£34,804 – £40,373. This is a KCLSU Band 4 role. The successful candidate will be recruited on Band 4.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning and delivery of KCLSU elections, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, an excellent participant experience, and high levels of student engagement.
  • Developing and implementing democratic processes, committee procedures, and accountability frameworks that support effective student representation and union governance.
  • Designing and delivering training, guidance, and support for Community Leaders and student representatives, empowering them to succeed in their roles.
  • Building strong partnerships across KCL, student groups, elected officers, and external organisations while managing operational resources, budgets, enquiries, and compliance requirements.
