Dental Account Executive — Direct-to-Dentist

Launched in 2020, Zima is a global market-leading health tech scale-up and one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK. We are disrupting a stagnant multibillion-pound global industry by merging cutting-edge product innovation with world-class performance marketing. Our hero product, the Dental Pod, has redefined oral appliance care for over a million customers across 40+ countries.

The role

You'll help run our direct-to-dentist (DTD) channel - the wholesale side of the business that supplies dental practices directly, rather than selling to their patients.

We're looking for someone who already knows dentistry. That might be from inside a practice - treatment coordinator, practice manager, dental nurse, receptionist - or from the commercial side, selling into practices for a dental supplier, lab, aligner brand or device manufacturer. Either route works. What matters is that you can pick up the phone to a principal dentist or practice manager and sound like someone who understands their day.

It's a hands-on, operational role with real commercial ownership. You'll learn the whole channel rather than one slice of it, and there's a clear, fast path into account management, DSO or international distribution as the team grows.

Who we're looking for

Essential

  • 1–5 years in dentistry. Either practice-side (treatment coordination, practice management, nursing, front desk, TCO) or dental B2B (supplier, lab, aligner, ortho or device sales, account management or sales ops).
  • Comfortable holding a credible clinical-adjacent conversation with a dentist, orthodontist or practice manager, you know what a retainer handover looks like, why aligner patients ask about staining, and how a practice actually buys.
  • Comfortable picking up the phone, including to cold leads.
  • Genuinely organised: you can run a billing tracker and a CRM at once without being chased.
  • Comfortable with numbers and detail - invoices, reconciliations, data hygiene and reporting don't put you off.
  • Commercially curious. You want to learn the machinery behind the channel, not just work a list.
  • Humble and hungry, and happy doing the unglamorous volume work in a team of experienced winners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling or recommending a physical product to patients chairside.
  • Exposure to orthodontics, aligners, retainers, sleep appliances or prosthodontics.
  • Multi-site, corporate or DSO experience.
  • Familiarity with Shopify B2B, Attio or HubSpot, Klaviyo, ClickUp or Stripe.
  • A second language relevant to our EU markets (German, Spanish, French).

Coming from a practice?

You already do most of this. You've explained a product to a nervous patient, chased a lab, managed stock, kept a diary full and handled the awkward money conversation. This role is that skill set pointed at a commercial channel, and we'll teach you the rest.

What you'll do

New business and conversion

  • Work inbound leads: qualify, call, book demos, convert to first paid order.
  • Improve conversion rates for new accounts.
  • Onboard new wholesale accounts: verification, portal walkthrough, first-order support.
  • Run a post-purchase onboarding call around four weeks after first order - answer questions and set accounts up for a strong start.
  • Keep the leads register clean and current: every lead has a next action and an owner.

Existing base and retention

  • Work the high-volume end of the customer tail: reorder prompts, lapsed-account reactivation, small-account queries.
  • Trace new contact details for high-risk and churned practices, re-engage by phone and email, and update the CRM.
  • Spot growing accounts and multi-site potential.
  • Set up customer subscriptions.
