Exciting Opportunities for Dental Clinical Assistants at UHBW

Opportunities exist for dental clinical assistants to join the team at UHBW. The successful candidate will be required to assist the dental nursing team with the smooth throughput of workload on the departments.

The role offers excellent career progression opportunities with the potential for the right person to develop their knowledge and skills which could contribute towards an application for dental nursing.

Role Requirements

  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Duties will be across the working week
  • Good communication skills
  • Empathetic approach to patients
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS would be an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the patients of Bristol experience a high standard of service and a good patient journey
  • Based mainly in the Bristol Dental Hospital, with occasional duties at the South Bristol Community Hospital
  • Guided by the dental nursing team regarding designated work areas
  • Responsible for ensuring efficient use of resources and safe working practices
  • Support the clinical team in the provision of safe, high quality patient care
  • Accountable for the collection, delivery, and transfer of instrumentation to clinics within University of Bristol Dental Hospital
  • Support the distribution of clinical supplies across the clinical departments
  • Support the clinical team with the preparation and maintenance of the clinical departments
  • Undertake all on-the-job training as deemed necessary for them to carry out their duties within the department in a safe manner
  • Work as part of a team and communicate effectively
