Dental Hygienist – Saturdays

Established in 2015, Aura Dental Centre is a modern, independent private dental practice in the heart of St John’s Wood, London. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred dentistry in a warm and welcoming environment. Our multidisciplinary team works closely together, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, genuine patient care, and creating long-term relationships with our patients.
We are looking for a friendly, confident, and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team every Saturday.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a hygienist looking for a regular Saturday position within an established private practice, with the opportunity to build and develop their own loyal patient list over time.
The position
- Every Saturday
- Hours: 8:30am–4:30pm
- First patient: 9:00am
- Last patient finishes: 4:00pm
- 45-minute lunch break
- Self-employed position
- Percentage-based remuneration starting from 30% of gross hygiene revenue
- Higher percentage may be considered depending on experience
- Dedicated chairside nurse support
- Opportunity to gradually develop and grow an established Saturday hygiene list
Please note that although we are actively growing our Saturday diary, a completely full patient list cannot be guaranteed from the outset.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with patients and takes pride in providing an excellent standard of care.

Ideally, you will have at least 2 years' post-qualification experience, preferably within private dentistry. However, we are happy to consider candidates with slightly less experience who can demonstrate strong clinical skills, confidence, and an excellent approach to patient care.
You should be:
- GDC registered as a Dental Hygienist
- Fully indemnified with the right to work in the UK
- Friendly, approachable, and professional
- Confident in providing high-quality periodontal and preventative care
- An excellent communicator who can put patients at ease
- Reliable and committed to a regular Saturday position
- Comfortable working independently while also being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Passionate about patient education and preventative dentistry
- Confident discussing appropriate future care and treatment options with patients when relevant to their needs
- Comfortable identifying when a patient may benefit from further assessment and making appropriate internal referrals to our general dentists, orthodontic, cosmetic, or other clinicians
- Happy to actively contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Internal referrals are an important part of how our team works together, and we are looking for someone who is confident in recognising opportunities to support a patient's wider oral health and discussing these with them in a professional, patient-focused, and non-pressured way

Your role
You will provide a full range of dental hygiene and periodontal care within your professional scope of practice, including scaling and polishing, periodontal assessment and treatment, preventative care, and tailored oral hygiene education.
Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who can build trust and rapport with patients, encourage long-term preventative care, and become a valued part of the Aura Dental team.
