Role Description

The Dental Laboratory Technician will be responsible for fabricating, adjusting, and finishing dental prostheses, including crowns, bridges, and dentures, using both traditional and digital techniques. Day-to-day tasks include:

The technician will collaborate closely with dental professionals to clarify case details and ensure restorations meet clinical and aesthetic requirements. Quality control, maintenance of lab equipment, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols are integral parts of the role. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Finchley.

Qualifications

  • Strong Laboratory Skills, including handling materials, operating dental lab equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.
  • Proficiency in Dental Technology, particularly in the design and fabrication of crowns, bridges, dentures, and other restorative appliances.
  • Foundational knowledge of Dentistry to understand occlusion, anatomy, and clinical requirements for prosthetic and restorative work.
  • Experience working as Laboratory Technicians in a dental laboratory or similar setting, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Hands-on expertise with Dentures, including setup, waxing, try-in adjustments, and finishing for both partial and full prostheses.
  • Comfort with digital workflows and CAD/CAM systems for dental restorations is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or diploma in dental technology or a closely related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions, follow technical instructions, and communicate effectively with dental professionals.
  • Strong manual dexterity, visual precision, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Willingness to follow health, safety, and infection control standards and to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
