Gilmore Dental Practice is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Dental Nurse to become part of our friendly team.
We are an established dental practice committed to delivering excellent patient care through modern techniques, high-quality materials and effective treatment options. Located just a short distance from Edinburgh City Centre, we are conveniently accessible by public transport and close to a variety of cafés, restaurants and shops.
Working hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 08:30–18:00
- Friday: 08:30–16:00
The Position
As a Dental Nurse, you will provide essential chairside support across the practice and assist with the smooth running of our surgeries. Implant training will be provided, with the opportunity to work towards a relevant qualification.
You will be an important part of delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring that all clinical, health and safety requirements are followed. We actively encourage learning, development and career progression.
Experience with Exact / Software of Excellence (SOE)
Help create a friendly, welcoming environment that puts patients at ease from the moment they arrive.
Other responsibilities:
- Use the practice management system effectively to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensure surgeries are fully prepared for each session and organised to support an efficient working day.
- Anticipate the needs of both clinicians and patients, ensuring all required equipment and laboratory work are available ahead of appointments.
- Monitor surgery stock and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Provide reception support when required, including answering telephone calls, booking appointments and taking patient payments.

What we're looking for:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is GDC registered.
- Has experience working within either private or NHS dental practices.
- Has implant experience, which would be an advantage.
- Is committed to delivering consistently high standards of patient care.
- Can work confidently both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Is enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn and develop professionally.
- Has experience with implants and scanners, although this is desirable rather than essential as full training will be available.
