- Keeping patient information accurate and up to date by making effective use of Software of Excellence and the practice’s internal systems.
- Preparing the dental surgery for each clinical session, ensuring everything is organised and ready to support an efficient patient journey and effective use of surgery time.
- Working proactively with clinicians by identifying what they and their patients will need ahead of appointments, including ensuring the correct equipment, instruments and laboratory work are available.
- Checking and managing surgery supplies, monitoring stock levels and arranging replenishment when required.
- Providing reception support when needed, which may include handling incoming calls, arranging patient appointments and processing patient payments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
