Role Description

The Dental Nurse will support dentists and clinicians in delivering high-quality cosmetic and general dental care to patients in a busy practice setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Assisting chairside during procedures
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Ensuring instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use

Additional duties may include:

  • Managing stock levels
  • Adhering to clinical governance and regulatory standards
  • Contributing to continuous quality improvement within the practice

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Leeds.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in dentistry and dental care, with experience supporting a range of cosmetic and general treatments.
  • Knowledge of infection control and decontamination procedures, with consistent adherence to best-practice clinical and safety protocols.
  • Understanding of orthodontics and clear aligner treatments, including chairside assistance and patient support during ongoing care.
  • Recognized dental nursing qualification (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent) and valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) or eligibility to register.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients of diverse backgrounds in a calm and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment.
  • Previous experience in cosmetic dentistry or implant procedures is an advantage, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
