Overview

Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking to start or progress your career in dental nursing?

We are currently seeking a Trainee or Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for patient care and a keen interest in developing their skills in a clinical environment. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality chairside assistance to dentists during all clinical procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-prepared surgery in accordance with infection control and health & safety protocols (HTM 01-05, CQC standards)
  • Accurately update and maintain patient records, including charting and medical histories
  • Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment following cross-infection protocols
  • Ensure the correct handling of radiographs in line with IR(ME)R and IRR regulations
  • Support patient comfort and care, including assisting in emergencies and communicating sensitively with patients of all backgrounds
  • Assist with stock control, ordering materials, and ensuring availability of clinical supplies
  • Liaise with dental laboratories to manage timely dispatch and receipt of lab work
  • Adhere to all confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding guidelines
  • Participate in practice meetings, audits, compliance checks, and CPD activities
  • Provide occasional reception or administrative support as needed
  • Follow all practice policies and maintain a professional appearance in line with uniform and PPE guidelines

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong motivation and active listening abilities
  • A genuine interest in patient care and oral health
  • Confidence in using various dental tools and equipment
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
  • Good time management and punctuality
  • Previous dental experience is an advantage
