Job Title

Dental Nurse Location: Dentopedia Group Clinics Schedule: Weekdays & Weekends Job Type: Full time Salary: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour, depending on experience


About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Dental Nurse at Dentopedia Group, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting dentists across a broad range of general dental treatments, from fillings to implants and orthodontics
  • Preparing, maintaining, and coordinating clinical rooms to meet high hygiene and regulatory standards
  • Ensuring strict compliance with cross-infection control policies and CQC guidelines
  • Decontaminating and sterilising instruments following best practice
  • Providing chairside support, offering discussions and patient reassurance to put people at ease
  • Maintaining clinical records with accuracy and organisation
  • Managing clinical supplies, including stock control and efficient ordering
  • Supporting smooth surgery workflows and effective time management
  • Assisting with radiographs (if GDC qualified), in line with IRMER regulations
  • Fostering a calm, professional, and patient-focused environment in the clinic

Requirements

Essential

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse with a current registration
  • Experience in general dentistry—additional expertise in areas such as implants, orthodontics, or endodontics is highly desirable
  • Solid knowledge of infection control standards and protocols
  • Cheerful, organised, able to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to support dentists and colleagues effectively
  • Professional appearance and patient-focused approach
  • Confidence in using dental software and digital systems

Bonus (Preferred Experience)

  • Additional experience with advances in restorative or surgical dentistry
  • Skills in cosmetic, prosthodontics, or special care dentistry
  • Fascinated by patient management, motivation, and wholer health approaches in dentistry

Further Necessary Requirements

Qualifications & Registration

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse (current registration mandatory)
  • Fully up-to-date GDC Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication (both spoken and written English is highly valued)
  • Ability to work confidently with patients of all ages—from children to seniors
  • Strong knowledge of cross-infection control ensuring safe clinical environments
  • Practice-oriented approach to assist with variety of dental procedures and tasks
  • Competence using modern dental software and equipment

Availability

  • Able to commit to full-time work days including weekends (flexibility contingent on mutual agreements)
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and organised
