Dental Nurse Apprentice - Regent Street Dental

Summary

You will work closely with a professional dental team while studying towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing, delivered in the workplace. In-house training, online learning and ongoing support will be provided by experienced dental professionals, ensuring you develop both your practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

  • Wage: £18,200 a year
  • Training course: Dental nurse (level 3)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, working hours TBC. 40 hours a week
  • Start date: Monday 2 November 2026
  • Duration: 1 year 6 months
  • Positions available: 1

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
  • Ensuring patient care and comfort at all times
  • Preparing and maintaining a clean, sterile clinical environment
  • Sterilising and decontaminating instruments and equipment
  • Mixing dental materials and assisting with charting
  • Developing dental x-rays
  • Managing stock and supplies within the surgery
  • Performing reception and basic administrative tasks
  • Strictly following cross-infection control and health and safety procedures

Training

What you'll learn

  • Course contents cover a wide range of topics including dental anatomy, health risks of drug use, scientific principles of materials used in dentistry, patient care, infection control, communication skills, and much more.

Requirements

  • Desirable qualifications:
    • GCSE in: English (grade C/4)
    • Maths (grade C/4)
