Chalkwell Dental Practice | Southend-On-Sea | Permanent | Full-Time - 41.75 Hours per Week
Join our friendly and supportive team as a Dental Nurse within a modern private dental practice.
At Chalkwell Dental Practice, we are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and professional Dental Nurse to join our experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse who enjoys working closely with clinicians and patients and takes pride in delivering high standards of clinical care.
Chalkwell Dental is a private practice with a warm, supportive feel. Patients often tell us they feel genuinely cared for, and we want our team to feel the same. We work to high standards, enjoy what we do, and support each other as a team.
Working Hours
Full-time working 41.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role
As a Dental Nurse, you'll work closely with our clinicians to provide excellent chairside support and ensure our patients receive safe, comfortable, and compassionate care throughout their treatment.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality chairside assistance to clinicians.
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring all equipment and materials are ready for treatment.
- Supporting clinicians across a range of dental procedures.
- Welcoming and reassuring patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and patient documentation.
- Carrying out appropriate infection prevention and control procedures.
- Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
- Ensuring surgeries are clean, well organised, and appropriately stocked.
- Supporting the smooth running of the practice and clinical sessions.
- Working collaboratively with the wider dental team.
- Providing a professional and caring experience for every patient.
- Supporting the practice in maintaining high standards of compliance, health and safety, and patient care.
About You
We are looking for a personable, proactive, and professional Dental Nurse who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- GDC registration as a Dental Nurse.
- Previous experience working within a dental practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, caring, and professional approach to patient care.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence providing chairside support to clinicians.
- A good understanding of infection prevention and control procedures.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
- A commitment to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.

Experience in private dentistry would be advantageous, although we would welcome applications from Dental Nurses who are passionate about developing their skills and career.
