Hindhead, Guildford & Mortiboys | Permanent | Flexible Working
Looking for variety in your dental nursing career? Join our team as a Float Dental Nurse and play a key role in supporting three practices along the A3 corridor.
We’re looking for a qualified GDC Registered Dental Nurse to join our team as a Float Dental Nurse, providing flexible support across our Hindhead, Guildford and Mortiboys practices.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dental Nurse who enjoys variety, meeting new people and working alongside different clinicians and teams. You’ll become an important part of the wider team, providing additional nursing support wherever it’s needed most.
The role has been created to provide flexible cover across the three practices, including additional clinician days, sickness and annual leave. Paid mileage and parking are provided, so you won’t be out of pocket when travelling between practices.
Working Hours
Flexibility to work across Hindhead, Guildford and Mortiboys is essential, as your working location will vary depending on the needs of the practices.
- Monday to Friday, with flexibility depending on the needs of the three practices.
- Typical working hours will fall between 7:45am and 5:15pm / 6:15pm.
- The role also includes one Saturday per month, 8:45am - 1:15pm.
The Role
As a Float Dental Nurse, you’ll provide high-quality chairside support across our three practices, adapting to the needs of each clinical team.
Your role will be varied, supporting clinicians across different sessions and helping to maintain a consistently high standard of patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing effective chairside support to clinicians.
- Preparing surgeries and ensuring equipment and materials are ready.
- Supporting clinicians across a range of treatments.
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control.
- Carrying out decontamination procedures in line with practice protocols.
- Ensuring clinical areas are clean, organised and well maintained.
- Providing nursing support across Hindhead, Guildford and Mortiboys.
- Covering sickness and annual leave.
- Supporting additional clinical sessions when required.
- Helping to maintain a smooth and efficient patient journey.
- Building positive working relationships with clinicians and colleagues across all three practices.
- Adapting quickly to different clinical environments and team requirements.

About You
We’re looking for a qualified and GDC Registered Dental Nurse who is confident working independently and adapting to different clinical environments.
You’ll be someone who:
- Is GDC Registered as a Dental Nurse.
- Has previous dental nursing experience.
- Is confident providing chairside support.
- Is organised, reliable and adaptable.
- Enjoys working with different clinicians and teams.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of patient care.
- Is comfortable working across different practice locations.
- Can respond positively to changing requirements and priorities.
- Is flexible and happy to support the wider team where needed.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be advantageous due to the multi-site nature of the role.
