Dental Nurse - Ferndown Dental Practice
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Competitive rate of pay, based on experience
Are you a qualified Dental Nurse looking to join a friendly, established practice where you can develop your skills and become part of a stable and supportive team?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and patient-focused Dental Nurse to join our well-established team at Ferndown Dental Practice, conveniently located in Ferndown, Dorset, close to Bournemouth and the coast.
With a long standing reputation in the local community, a stable team, this is a great opportunity to join a practice where colleagues are genuinely valued.
About Ferndown Dental Practice
Our five-surgery practice offers a friendly and professional environment with spacious, modern surgeries and a range of excellent equipment.
We are a fully digital practice using SOE soon to move over to Dentally, digital X-rays, an iTero scanner, intraoral cameras, rotary endodontic equipment, and Airflow.
The practice is also fully air-conditioned, with free on-site parking for colleagues and patients.
You’ll be joining an experienced and supportive team, and experienced clinicians with a wide range of expertise.
We’re proud of our supportive culture and encourage colleagues to continue developing their skills. Previous nurses have undertaken further training in areas including Oral Health Education, Radiography, and Practice Management.
The Role
As a Dental Nurse, you’ll provide high-quality chairside support across a variety of treatments while helping to ensure patients receive a friendly and comfortable experience.

- Providing effective chairside support to clinicians
- Preparing and maintaining surgeries
- Supporting patients throughout their appointments
- Maintaining excellent infection prevention and control standards
- Carrying out decontamination and instrument processing
- Supporting implant and other specialist treatments where required
- Helping maintain a smooth and efficient clinical workflow
- Working closely with clinicians, nurses, and the wider practice team
- Contributing to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the practice
Working Hours
Our standard working hours are: Monday-Friday: 7:45am-4:15pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

About You
We’re looking for a Dental Nurse who is:
- Qualified and GDC registered
- Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused
- Reliable and well-organised
- Confident working as part of a team
- Professional and committed to high standards of patient care
- Keen to continue developing their skills
- Comfortable supporting a range of treatments
- Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a close-knit team

A Great Location
Ferndown Dental Practice is centrally located in Ferndown, a large and vibrant town close to Bournemouth and the Dorset coast.
There are excellent local amenities within walking distance, including Tesco, M&S, and other shops and cafés, making it easy to grab lunch or run errands during your break.
There are also good public transport links, primarily by bus, and free on-site parking is available for colleagues.
