Join Alexandra Park Dental Care!

We’re looking for a qualified and patient-focused Dental Nurse to become part of the team at Alexandra Park Dental Care in Glasgow. This role will be a mix of both Dental Nursing and Reception work in our busy practice.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity with hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 08:50 – 17:30
  • Friday: 08:50 – 16:30

Based at our practice on Alexandra Parade, our team is committed to delivering outstanding dental care in a professional, welcoming, and comfortable setting for every patient.

Responsibilities

As a Dental Nurse, you’ll:

  • Support clinicians across daily clinical activities while maintaining a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure:
    • Surgeries are prepared for appointments
    • Patients feel informed and comfortable
    • All procedures are delivered safely and in line with clinical and compliance standards
  • Chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures
  • Prepare and organise surgeries for each clinical session
  • Deliver a positive patient experience from arrival through to treatment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Software of Excellence
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, and laboratory requirements ahead of appointments
  • Monitor and replenish surgery stock levels
  • Support reception duties, including:
    • Appointment scheduling
    • Handling telephone enquiries
    • Processing patient payments
  • Follow all clinical governance, infection prevention, and health & safety procedures

Requirements

  • Hold current GDC registration
  • Have experience in either NHS, private practice, or both (preferred)
  • Take pride in delivering excellent patient care
  • Ability to work independently and contribute positively in a team environment
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
