We are excited to be recruiting for a Dental Nurse to join our team at City Dental by Clyde Munro. This role has become available due to an expansion in the practice.
We are open to Trainee applications, and are open to both full-time and part-time applications.
City Dental is a multiskilled practice offering sedation, oral surgery, implants, and sure smile/short term orthodontics. City Dental is located in Glasgow City Centre, with a vast array of nearby amenities within walking distance including shops and cafes. The practice is easily accessible by both car and public transport, with Glasgow Central and Queen Street Station both only a short walk away.
Your Role
This role will involve chairside dental nursing along with the chance to explore treatment coordinator opportunities like managing specialist treatment plans. You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.
In addition to Dental Nursing responsibilities, this role will cover an element of Reception support.

Other duties include:
- Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
- Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
- Monitoring our internal referral system to ensure that any patient referrals are followed up within an appropriate timescale
- Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each stage in the patient treatment plan to maximise the efficiency of the session
- Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
- Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments, and collecting patient charges
About You
- GDC registration for qualified applicants
- Experience working in Private / NHS practices for qualified applicants
- Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
