We're Scan.com
We're the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. Our technology speeds up diagnoses for timely treatments, improving healthcare outcomes for hundreds of patients each day.
We're doing diagnostics differently, with solutions tailored to both patients and providers, all backed by our technology and world-class customer operations team. Our B2C marketplace simplifies booking a scan, making it as straightforward for patients as booking a hotel. Our B2B platforms provide live scheduling at the point of care and harness AI to ease workflows for physicians, attorneys, and providers.
We're looking for a Freelance UK Dental Radiologist to join us at an exciting time — our reporting workflow is scaling fast alongside the rest of the business, and we're investing in the tools and processes that let clinical and technical teams work together more efficiently. This role sits at the intersection of clinical practice and product — you'll bring hands-on radiologist expertise to shape the automation and workflow tools our reporting network relies on every day.
What You Will Be Getting Involved In
This is a freelance clinical role working closely with our Principal Clinical Solutions Architect and the wider product and operations teams. You'll combine day-to-day protocolling and pre-reporting work with a genuine seat at the table in how we automate and improve reporting turnaround times.
The practical details:
- Freelance / contractor basis, with flexibility on days and hours to fit around other clinical work
- Remote-first, with occasional collaboration time with the Principal Clinical Solutions Architect and product team
- Reporting fee rate to be agreed based on experience — to be confirmed with the hiring manager

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Here are some of the things you'll be getting involved in:
- Reporting workflow improvement — identifying friction points in how scans move from acquisition through to a signed-off report, and helping design a better flow
- Turnaround time — partnering with the Principal Clinical Solutions Architect to find and fix the bottlenecks that slow reporting down
- Triage automation — helping build tools that automatically triage incoming scans by urgency and complexity, so the right cases reach the right reporter faster
- Site coordination — working with imaging sites across our network to make sure reporting expectations, timelines, and handoffs are clear and consistently followed
- Reporting audits — coordinating audits of reporting quality and turnaround with our reporting providers, feeding findings back into process and tooling improvements
What We Want You To Achieve
- Become a trusted clinical voice in how we design and roll out clinical automation
- Help materially reduce reporting turnaround times through workflow and triage improvements
- Establish a clear, repeatable audit process for reporting quality across our provider network
- Build strong working relationships with site teams so reporting coordination becomes second nature, not a chase
- Be a collaborative, values-led contributor — bringing clinical rigour and a solutions-first mindset to a fast-moving product team
What You Might Bring To The Table
You don't need to tick every box to apply. However, these might be some of the ways you'd add value from day one:
- UK Qualified Dental Radiologist
- Genuine interest in the technology side of radiology — keen to help shape tools, not just use them
- Experience working with or alongside teleradiology/reporting networks, and an understanding of the practical pressures on turnaround times
- Comfortable working independently as a freelancer, while staying closely connected to a product and clinical team
- Clear communicator, able to work credibly with both clinical staff on-site and technical/product colleagues
- Experience with clinical audit processes is a plus, but not essential
