Dental Receptionist - Private Practice | Crescent Lodge Dental | Clapham Common (30 seconds from the tube)

We’ve built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality general and specialist dentistry, and you’ll be joining a friendly, experienced team in a professional, well-run environment. You’ll work closely with our clinicians and wider practice team, playing an important role in creating an excellent patient experience from the moment patients contact us.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our friendly team on a full-time basis.
- Monday: 12:00pm - 8:30pm
- Tuesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a warm, welcoming and professional experience for all patients
- Ensuring patients are greeted promptly
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Booking, amending and cancelling appointments efficiently
- Managing clinician diaries and ensuring appointment books are used effectively
- Taking payments and processing invoices accurately
- Discussing treatment fees and payment options with patients where appropriate
- Managing patient communications via telephone, email and other practice systems
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team
- Following up treatment plans, appointments and patient enquiries where required
- Maintaining high standards of confidentiality and compliance with practice procedures
- Helping to create a positive and professional patient journey from first contact through to treatment
- Assisting with general administrative duties and supporting the team when required

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Ideally, you will have previous experience in dental, healthcare reception or a dental practice environment.
- If you don’t have dental experience, you must have strong front-of-house or customer service experience, with a genuine passion for delivering excellent service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Confident and professional when speaking with patients both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Highly organised, reliable and able to remain calm and efficient in a busy reception environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate patient information.
- Confident using computer systems, with the ability to learn and use practice management software.
- Professional, friendly and approachable, with a warm and welcoming manner.
- A strong team player who is happy to support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the practice.
- Takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience and creating a positive first impression for every patient.
