Dental Receptionist | Cleveland Terrace Dental Practice | Darlington
Cleveland Terrace Dental Practice in Darlington is looking for a Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy 5-surgery dental practice, working as part of a welcoming team and helping to ensure our patients have a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.
We’re looking for someone with previous or current dental reception experience who understands the pace and demands of a dental practice and enjoys providing a friendly, professional service to patients.

About The Role
As a Dental Receptionist at Cleveland Terrace, you’ll play an important role in the patient journey, helping to ensure the practice runs smoothly and that patients feel welcomed, supported and well cared for.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients into the practice and providing a warm, friendly experience
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient queries
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Taking payments and managing patient accounts
- Supporting patients with treatment and appointment queries
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Liaising with clinicians and the wider practice team
- Helping to keep reception running smoothly and efficiently
- Providing a consistently high level of customer service

You’ll work closely with our clinical and wider practice teams, so excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
About You
We’re looking for someone with previous or current experience working in dental reception who understands the importance of providing an excellent patient experience.
You’ll be:
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Confident communicating with patients both face-to-face and over the telephone
- Organised and able to manage a busy reception environment
- Comfortable using dental practice systems
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Calm and professional when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations
- Someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and customer service
