We’re looking for a welcoming and professional Receptionist to become part of the team at Alexandra Park Dental Care.
This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:50am to 5:30pm.
Based at 427 Alexandra Parade in Glasgow, the practice is conveniently located with street parking available nearby. We pride ourselves on creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere for both our patients and our team, while delivering a high standard of dental care in a friendly and relaxed setting.
The Position
As a key member of the team, you’ll provide a friendly, professional service to patients while helping to ensure their experience reflects the values of the practice. You’ll also support the team in maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance throughout the practice.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and creating a friendly, reassuring atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Using Software of Excellence effectively to keep patient information and records accurate and up to date
- Handling incoming calls, arranging and confirming appointments, and processing patient payments
- Keeping the reception area clean, organised and presentable, helping to maintain a professional environment
- Coordinating and managing clinician appointment schedules to make effective use of surgery time while accommodating patients’ needs
- Supporting the smooth running of the reception area and assisting the wider practice team where required

About You
We’re looking for someone who can bring a professional, patient-focused approach to the role. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience working within a general dental or healthcare practice, although this is desirable rather than essential
- Experience in a reception or customer-facing position where delivering a positive patient/customer experience was a key priority
- A genuine commitment to providing consistently high standards of patient care
- The confidence to work independently, use your own initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities
