Role Description

The Dental Receptionist coordinates with clinical staff to support treatment schedules, helps maintain an organized reception area, and follows practice policies related to confidentiality and patient care. The role requires a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a focus on providing a positive experience for every patient.
Qualifications
- Strong receptionist and front desk skills, including greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, and handling administrative tasks.
- Proficiency in appointment scheduling and calendar management, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple bookings.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for handling patient inquiries and coordinating with the dental team.
- Basic understanding of dental care terminology and procedures, or willingness to learn to support accurate information sharing.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient data entry, billing, and record management.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Previous experience in a dental or medical reception role is preferred but not required.
- Competence with practice management software and common office applications; training can be provided.
- Commitment to confidentiality, patient privacy, and inclusive, respectful interaction with people from diverse backgrounds.
