Substantive
Part time 28.8 hrs per week
Band 2 - Salary Range £26,696 - £28,988 per annum (pro rata)
Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro rata)
The post holder supports the Dental Procurement Administrative Officer by undertaking routine procurement, stock handling and vehicle-related duties in accordance with established procedures, policies and schedules, ensuring continuity of safe and effective dental services across NHS Shetland. To provide operational administrative, logistical and transport support to the Public Dental Service by collecting and delivering dental instruments, equipment, materials and documentation between dental clinics, the Local Decontamination Unit (LDU) and Central Decontamination Unit (CDU).
Based at Montfield Dental Health Centre in Lerwick, the post holder will work as part of a team, this is an important role in ensuring the safe and effective provision of dentistry in Shetland.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Full UK driving licence
- Understanding of Infection control and warehouse/stock controlled environment
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and well organised
- Enthusiastic and reliable
