Role Description
This part-time Dentist role is an on-site position based in Falkirk. The Dentist will provide a full range of clinical dental services, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative and preventive care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine and complex dental procedures, maintaining accurate clinical records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical governance standards. The role involves working closely with dental nurses and practice colleagues, communicating clearly with patients about treatment options, and promoting oral health education. The Dentist will contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment and support the practice in delivering consistent, high-quality care to the local community.

Qualifications

- Fully qualified Dentist with a recognized dental degree and registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant dental council.
- Strong clinical skills in general dentistry, including examination, diagnosis, restorative treatments, preventive care, and basic surgical procedures.
- Ability to provide patient-centered care, including clear communication of treatment options, informed consent, and empathetic chairside manner.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary dental team and collaborating effectively with dental nurses and practice colleagues.
- Commitment to clinical governance, infection prevention and control, and adherence to all regulatory and safety standards.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a varied patient list within part-time hours.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advances in dental techniques and materials.
- Experience in community-based or practice-based dentistry, and familiarity with UK/Ireland dental systems and guidelines, is beneficial.
