Department Manager

Luxury Store, Central London
£50,000 + Bonus

European premium fashion house, known for refined ready-to-wear and non-apparel, the brand continues to build its presence within key fashion capitals.

We are seeking an experienced Department Manager to support the Store Director and to lead the team. This role is ideal for a passionate retail professional with a strong background in fashion retail, exceptional people leadership skills, and a genuine commitment to delivering an elevated client experience.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in Team lead, senior supervisory, or Department manager roles within retail or premium brands
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Passion for fashion, styling, and client experience
  • Commercially driven with the ability to analyse performance and identify opportunities
  • Highly organised with strong operational awareness
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Flexible to work weekends and peak trading periods

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Associates across the department
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing working environment
  • Support onboarding and integration of new team members
  • Deliver ongoing coaching through floor leadership, feedback, and performance reviews
  • Partner with the manager to implement continuous development and coaching team
  • Ensure clear communication and effective information sharing across the team

Operations

  • Apply and enforce all operational procedures and brand standards
  • Assist to oversee key back-of-house processes
  • Support inventory accuracy and ensure smooth daily boutique operations
