Location: 3 day Hybrid role based in Reading (Winnersh Triangle)
40 Hours per week

Overview

The Deployment Manager role is responsible for the management and successful delivery of a number of small to medium projects undertaken by our customers, in a manner which meets the customer’s objectives and contributes to their business case. This role owns the relationship and direct liaison with Profitero+ clients for the duration of new deployments and upgrade of all existing solutions.

This role will suit someone who has 2 years experience in project management, managing high volume of small projects with short stints.

Responsibilities

  • Deployment management from start-up to close-out
  • Manage new client implementations, from client input gathering, requirements specification, development through to delivery
  • Prepare all requirements documentation in accordance with agreed team procedures
  • Manage the implementation to ensure a successful outcome for internal and external customers
  • Provide advice in respect of specifications, cost, timings and implementation of customer solutions
  • Deployment organisation, planning and monitoring
  • Produce timing plans in conjunction with resourcing managers and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure timely & proactive updates of all projects in the deployment Pipeline
  • Monitor and track the progress of assigned setups against the planned time and cost, ensuring timely communication in relevant Slack channels
  • Proactively update and advise all stakeholders of project status
  • Follow the Deployment team’s best practices for all setups at all times
  • Risks and issue management
    • Analyse risks and issues, communicate avoidance and take mitigating actions
  • Change control
    • Highlight and help to resolve any deviations from the agreed scope
    • Manage the change control process for implementations
  • Process improvement and value-added services
    • Initiates and implements best practice and continuous improvement within the team
    • Help with new colleague onboarding
    • Take ownership for your own knowledge enhancement related to Profitero+ products & services

Qualified candidates will possess:

Education/ Experience

  • Proven track record in project management
  • Formal Project Management methods
  • Sound understanding of eCommerce, eBusiness tools, architecture, document management and database management

Skills & Abilities

  • Microsoft Project, Excel and Word at intermediate level
  • Excellent organisational skills, decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Multicultural awareness
  • Excellent communication skills (including a good standard of written and spoken English)

Aptitudes

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix structure and inspire high team spirit

  • Adherence to agreed team procedures and delivery of implementations on time, to the agreed specification, timings and budget

In addition the following will be an advantage:

  • Degree in computer or management studies
  • PRINCE 2 qualification (EU)
  • PMI qualification (US)
  • Experience implementing and supporting SaaS solutions for customers
