Getting AI into production is only the beginning. Can you make it indispensable to a client’s business?

Omnis Partners is supporting an AI business hiring a Deployment Strategist to own client engagements from identifying the right opportunities through to deployment, adoption and most importantly, commercial account growth.

This is a role for someone who can understand a business problem, work closely with technical teams to solve it, and stay accountable for what happens after launch. Are people using the solution? Is it delivering value? What needs to improve, and where should the relationship go next?

The opportunity

You will take ownership of client accounts, becoming a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and the link between their business priorities and AI delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and prioritising AI use cases with a clear business case and measurable success criteria.
  • Translating business needs into delivery requirements, working with engineering teams to manage scope, priorities and expectations.
  • Owning deployment and ongoing optimisation, resolving obstacles and keeping delivery focused on outcomes.
  • Leading adoption so AI solutions become embedded in everyday workflows.
  • Tracking value realisation and using results to support retention, expansion and new opportunities.
  • Helping build the business’s client engagement operating model: the processes, measures and ways of working that enable it to scale.

What you will bring

You may be an AI consultant, deployment strategist, engagement manager, solutions consultant or customer-facing delivery lead. Your title matters less than what you have personally owned.

  • Experience leading client-facing AI or data engagements, typically gained over around five years.
  • Evidence of responsibility beyond initial delivery, including adoption, optimisation and an ongoing client relationship.
  • Commercial judgement and experience contributing to account retention and growth.
  • Enough technical understanding to challenge assumptions, navigate delivery constraints and work credibly with engineers.
  • The ability to earn trust with senior stakeholders and explain complex ideas clearly.
  • Comfort creating structure when the playbook is still being written.

Why this role?

You will have meaningful ownership of both delivery and the client relationship, alongside the opportunity to shape how an AI business serves and grows its accounts.

For someone who enjoys bringing together technology, people and commercial outcomes, this is an opportunity to see the impact of your work, and build on it.
