This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operations and transformation leader to shape the future of Deposits at FSCS, delivering a multi-year transformation roadmap that strengthens operational resilience, embeds new technologies and capabilities, and delivers measurable benefits for customers and levy payers.
Working closely with the Chief Customer Officer and Transformation Director, the role holder will act as the senior business lead for Deposits transformation, aligning priorities, governance and delivery outcomes across the portfolio.
Operating across FSCS and engaging with Executive and senior leadership teams, this role will provide leadership for transformation governance, operational readiness, business adoption, benefits realisation and post-implementation performance, ensuring transformation activity supports future scalability, resilience, customer outcomes and financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing senior leadership for Deposits transformation, shaping strategic priorities, governance, risk management and delivery outcomes across FSCS.
- Leading the delivery of FSCS's five-year Deposits transformation roadmap, implementing new operating models, processes and technologies that are scalable, sustainable and operationally viable.
- Delivering the Deposits Data and AI strategy while building the capability, capacity and workforce readiness needed to support future operational demands.
- Ensuring transformation initiatives are successfully embedded into operations through effective readiness planning, business adoption, implementation and stabilisation.
- Overseeing transformation governance, operational risk and controls, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable benefits, improved performance and sustainable outcomes.
- Building strong relationships across FSCS and with external stakeholders, fostering a high-performance culture that drives accountability, continuous improvement and successful delivery.

About You
You will be an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of leading complex operations within a regulated environment. You will have operated with accountability for operational risk, regulatory assurance and the successful adoption of change, and be able to demonstrate experience embedding large-scale transformation into live operational environments. Comfortable influencing at senior levels, you will combine strong operational leadership with the ability to deliver sustainable business change while maintaining effective risk and control oversight.
Successful candidates will also be able demonstrate behaviours aligned to FSCS's ways of working, taking accountability, showing courage, working stronger together, embracing continuous learning and remaining focused on delivering results.
Knowledge And Skills Requirements
- Strong understanding of risk management, governance and control frameworks.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and workflow optimisation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Evidence of using data and management information (MI) to drive performance and decision-making.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous and rapidly changing environments, applying sound judgement and evidence-based decision-making.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology, automation, data and AI-enabled capabilities.
