The Opportunity
Lead projects. Shape infrastructure. Keep the operation moving.
We are looking for an experienced Depot Infrastructure Project Manager to help deliver the technology infrastructure that keeps a major logistics network connected, operational and ready for the future.
This is a hands-on project delivery role where you will take ownership of infrastructure initiatives across the depot network, from new site openings and office fit-outs to technology refreshes and infrastructure upgrades.
You will work at the intersection of technology, project delivery and operations, coordinating internal teams, operational stakeholders, engineers, contractors and technology partners to turn designs into fully operational sites.
In this pivotal role, you will need enough technical knowledge to do more than manage a project plan. You will be expected to challenge designs, interrogate vendor proposals, make informed technical decisions and resolve delivery issues while keeping projects on time, on budget and with minimal disruption to 24/7 logistics operations.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Depot Infrastructure Project Manager, you will manage infrastructure projects through to completion from initial design and site surveys through implementation, testing, and operational handover. You will be responsible for:
- Manage depot infrastructure projects from design through to operational handover, controlling scope, budget, timelines, dependencies and risk.
- Deliver new depot openings, upgrades, fit-outs, relocations and infrastructure refresh programmes.
- Coordinate networking, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, telecommunications and communications room infrastructure.
- Lead delivery through internal teams, engineers, vendors and contractors, ensuring quality, cost and performance targets are met.
- Review technical designs, installations and vendor proposals, resolving technical and delivery issues where required.
- Ensure infrastructure meets required standards for security, resilience, performance and availability.
- Support warehouse technology, including handheld terminals, operational printers and end-user technology deployments.
- Ensure technology is correctly integrated with the underlying network and wireless infrastructure.
- Keep operational stakeholders informed and aligned throughout project delivery.
- Collaborate with the wider Project Management team, sharing standards, best practice and lessons learned.
- Ensure all projects comply with IT security, governance and Health & Safety requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
