Role Description
The Depot Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in York, responsible for overseeing daily depot operations to support Direct-to-Patient deliveries. This role manages stock intake, storage, and dispatch, ensuring inventory accuracy, proper handling of medical products, and timely order fulfillment. The Depot Manager coordinates and supervises depot team members, schedules shifts, and promotes a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.

Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring operational performance
- Optimizing workflows
- Maintaining health and safety standards
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
- Handling escalated customer service issues
- Collaborating with logistics partners and internal teams
- Preparing reports on depot performance and service levels
Qualifications
- Strong Stock Management skills, including inventory control, accurate record-keeping, and product handling.
- Operations Management skills to oversee daily depot activities, optimize processes, and ensure timely, compliant deliveries.
- Team Management skills to lead, coach, and develop staff, manage workloads, and support a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain professional communication with patients, healthcare providers, and partners.
- Health & Safety knowledge to maintain safe working practices, comply with regulations, and ensure appropriate handling of medical materials.

Beneficial Experience and Skills:
- Relevant experience in healthcare logistics, pharmaceutical distribution, or similar regulated environments
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with depot management systems, basic IT tools, and data reporting
- Formal training or qualifications in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
