We are a forward-thinking business with approximately 100 employees across the UK with ambitions to continue growing, making it an excellent time to join the business. This role is Depot based, full time hours, 40 hours per week (8am – 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch).
Job Overview – Depot Manager
Vital Power Group is looking for a Depot Manager to have an integral role in supporting and developing the maintenance of our Depot in Telford. You will be responsible for managing all warehouse organisation, housekeeping, logistical planning, goods in process, picking & packing and stock management. You must be confident in developing and implementing processes to support the seamless management within the Depot, able to work independently, and as part of a team to meet customer expectations and achieve our company goals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Take full ownership of the day-to-day management, organisation and housekeeping of the Telford Depot.
- To implement and operate a stock management system to ensure efficiencies.
- To assist with general upkeep / maintenance of the depot and stores.
- To implement a goods in/out system process, covering parts, tooling, and plant, including submitting relevant paperwork to the National Operations Centre.
- Ensure all storage locations, and stock areas are clearly identified and effectively managed.
- Ensure all equipment remains serviceable, calibrated and compliant where required.
- To be responsible for offloading deliveries (using FLT) and processing into stock.
- To monitor stock levels and request replenishment when required.
- Conduct regular depot audits to ensure compliance with company standards and operational requirements.
- Ensure the depot and its activities remain compliant with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Support the implementation of safe systems of work and promote a positive safety culture.
- Ensure all relevant documentation, inspections and records are maintained accurately.
- To assist with other manual tasks as / when required by the business
- To focus on achieving individual and team objectives
- To work positively and communicate professionally across the team, providing an effective contribution to work tasks.

Person Specification
Criteria - Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Good level of general education
- Previous experience in warehousing/logistics
- Full clean driving license (with towing capability)
- FLT License (CBAL)
- Ability to manage own workload and establish priorities
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
- Willingness to undertake further training as required for professional development
Desirable:
- Valid CSCS/ECS card
