Depot Operative

We are looking for a Depot Operative to join the team at our St Helens Branch. You’ll be responsible for providing hands-on service across a range of depot and operational tasks, including stock management, stock counts, receiving and sending deliveries, forklift truck work, rolling posters and moving digital screens. You will also be responsible for opening and closing the branch as a key holder, working alongside other colleagues to cover the required hours.

You will also support other departments from time to time, including our Posting & Cleaning (PCO) and Maintenance Teams. This may include helping to ensure advertising sites are maintained to a high standard and supporting with cleaning and general maintenance activities.

Some aspects of the role are physically demanding and will require you to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as being comfortable working independently and unsupervised when required.

You’ll be provided with a Fully Expensed Company Vehicle for business use including commuting to and from the depot and to get around our different settings including busy shopping highs streets, residential areas, and rural areas. Dedicated training and support will be available to help get you started.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, with branch opening hours between 6:30am and 4:30pm. This role will work on a set shift pattern, including 6:30am – 3:00pm and 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 points
  • Forklift Truck Licence (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office 365
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised when required
  • Physically able to carry out manual handling and outdoor duties in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to support other departments, including PCO and Maintenance
