Job Details

Job title: Depot Supervisor

Depot: United Springburn

Reporting to: Assistant General Manager

Job Purpose

As a Depot Supervisor, the role will include supervising, overseeing, and working within our depot environment. You will be accountable for the day to day running of your team where you will undertake daily routines to ensure your team is delivering exceptional customer service, the highest levels of availability and achieving sales growth targets whilst maintaining a clean and safe environment with attention to detail regarding compliance of all health and safety legislation.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent, best in class customer service and have the ability to talk to customers with ease
  • Manage a team to ensure key functions within the depot is carried out effectively
  • Work with the management team to ensure all depot KPIs are successfully achieved
  • Manage the depot space to ensure fill levels are maximised and promotions are effectively displayed
  • Demand and maintain the highest standards of stock replenishment and availability
  • Provide compliance to due diligence checks, legal requirements, and Company policies
  • Organising weekly staffing rotas

Qualities we look for

  • Be of a strong character who can lead by example
  • Develop, encourage, and lead a key team to provide best in class depot standards within a complex business environment
  • Not be frightened to challenge the status quo – you will need to quickly identify problems, develop fixes and strategies for improvement and then have the courage of your convictions to implement the necessary changes
  • Have the experience of managing people and not afraid to hold different conversations when necessary
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident when facing challenging situations
  • Demonstrate and provide an excellent working knowledge of the retail / wholesale channel
  • Have good IT skills and experience of IT systems
