We’re Hiring: Depot Transport Manager | Eurocentral
Location: Eurocentral Depot
Salary: £46,503 – £49,000 + Benefits

We’re looking for an experienced Depot Transport Manager to join our Eurocentral Depot Management Team. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for delivering a safe, compliant and high-performing transport operation while ensuring we continue to deliver a great service for our customers.
The role
As Depot Transport Manager, you’ll take ownership of the depot transport operation, ensuring it runs safely, efficiently and in full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
As a key holder on the Depot Operator Licence, you’ll oversee fleet compliance, driver performance, transport planning and operational costs, while working closely with the wider depot leadership team to deliver against our people, service, quality and cost objectives.

You’ll lead from the front, developing your team, using operational data to drive performance and continuously looking for opportunities to improve the way we work.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading and developing a high-performing driver team, creating a positive and safety-focused culture.
- Managing transport budgets, fleet utilisation and resource planning in line with forecasted volumes.
- Controlling driver and transport-related costs while maintaining service and quality standards.
- Ensuring vehicles, trailers and equipment are maintained to the required standards through effective audits and compliance checks.
- Delivering robust transport plans for both BAU and Peak periods, with appropriate contingency plans in place.
- Monitoring transport costs, maintenance expenditure, repairs and operational productivity.
- Ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Overseeing vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules, tachograph management and relevant driver training records.
- Conducting accident and incident investigations and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Driving continuous improvement across safety, service, compliance and operational performance.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced transport leader with strong knowledge of compliance and legislation and the confidence to take ownership of a busy transport operation.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A Transport Manager CPC (National Certificate).
- Previous experience within a Transport Management role.
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance, Operator Licence requirements, driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Experience managing transport operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience developing and managing operational teams.
- Knowledge of transport management systems and tachograph analysis.
- Experience managing Drug & Alcohol testing programmes.
- A full UK driving licence.
- An IOSH qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience within parcel, logistics, distribution or express delivery environments would also be beneficial.
