Are you an experienced Facilities, Domestic Services or Catering leader looking for an opportunity to shape and transform services that directly support patient care?

Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) is seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Associate Director of Facilities (Domestics & Catering) to provide strategic and operational leadership across Domestic and Catering Services within a complex healthcare environment.

This is a key senior leadership role with responsibility for delivering safe, compliant and high-quality Domestic and Catering Services. These services play a vital role in supporting infection prevention, patient safety, nutritional wellbeing and positive patient experiences across Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading Domestic and Catering Services across multiple healthcare sites
  • Driving service transformation, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare cleaning standards, food safety and nutritional requirements, governance and regulatory requirements
  • Leading workforce development, engagement and succession planning
  • Strengthening performance management, quality assurance and audit arrangements
  • Managing operational risk, business continuity and emergency response planning
  • Leading contract management, procurement and supplier performance arrangements
  • Managing significant budgets and driving value for money and efficiency
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives and environmental objectives
  • Building strong partnerships with clinical teams, senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to the strategic development of Facilities services across GMS

We’re looking for a visible, credible and inspiring leader with significant experience in Domestic Services, Catering Services, Facilities Management or a similarly complex organisational environment.

You’ll combine strategic thinking with strong operational leadership and have a proven track record of delivering service improvement, developing high-performing teams and driving organisational change.
