Deputy Care Home Manager - Non Clinical
Location: Bateman House Care Home, Uttoxeter ST14 5DU
About Us:
Part of the Country Court Family, Bateman House Care Home is a luxury care home in Uttoxeter, East Staffordshire. We offer person-centred residential and specialist dementia care across two floors and outstanding facilities.
About the Role
As the Deputy Care Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high standards of care for our residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff.
- Preparing the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and ensuring new needs are met.
- Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors.
- Liaising with the Home Manager to assume responsibility for managing the Home during absences.
- Contributing fully to team working and responding positively to colleagues.

About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience as a Deputy Manager or at least 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader in Care.
- Strong leadership skills and motivation.
- Ability to engage well with residents and their families.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working with people with Dementia.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care.
- NVQ Level 5 is a great advantage or willingness to work towards this.
