In Emergency Same Day Care, excellence is essential; you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the latest evidence-based practice, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality treatment and support.

Role Overview

As Deputy Sister within our Same Day Emergency Care Unit, you will work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist care to patients with medical conditions and nurse lead clinic such DVT and (MDU) Medical Day unit . This is a dynamic and rewarding role where clinical expertise meets leadership, offering you the opportunity to influence service delivery and enhance patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist care
  • Lead and manage clinical activity, supporting and motivating staff
  • Contribute to service improvement and innovation
  • Act as the designated deputy to the individual with continuing responsibility for the unit
  • Provide effective clinical, professional, and operational leadership in the absence of the ward Sister
  • Ensure the smooth running of the service while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety
  • Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Specialists and colleagues across Emergency floor services
  • Support the teaching, supervision, and assessment of registered staff, learners, return-to-practice nurses, and healthcare assistants
