Job Overview
- 1 X Full Time and 1 X 25 hour contact
An exciting opportunity has arisen for permanent Band 6 Deputy Clinical Lead Nurses specifically to work a young lady with complex health needs within the Abergavenny area.
Applications are welcomed from those with experience of caring for ventilated individuals. You will be fully supported to develop in a wide range of clinical skills including tracheostomy care, PEG management and advanced communication skills.
Main Duties of the Job
- The successful individuals must be able to work autonomously whilst demonstrating excellent leadership and management skills including delegation to a skilled health care support worker.
- As part of a holistic care model you will be involved in supporting the individual to access the community for both health and social appointments.
The role is challenging and rewarding and you will be fully encouraged and supported with your professional development. The care at home team has a dynamic internal education team with a focus on professional development and succession planning.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience at Band 5
- Staff caseload supervision
- Evidence of supervision and development of junior staff
Desirable criteria
- Involvement of undertaking a training needs assessment and analysis
Skills
Essential criteria
- Able to present information effectively to individuals and groups
- Able to perform and demonstrate expanded clinical skills for area of nursing including intravenous injections, cannulation, catheterisation
Desirable criteria
- Nurse Prescriber
Qualification
Essential criteria
- Degree level or equivalent
- Specialist clinical training, management qualification and post grad qualification or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience
