The Role
As the Deputy Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, where you will provide commercial support to a diverse portfolio of projects, across multi-disciplined Integrated and Delivery Teams as required in accordance with the established Business and Commercial strategy.
You will be working as an individual Commercial contributor across and in support of a broad Business Portfolio or as part of an Integrated Capture / Delivery Team where you will demonstrate general commercial acumen on tenders and contracts which are typically non-standard, of low to medium complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects, or new business campaigns.

Your Responsibilities
- Personal Competence - An accountable self-starter, modelling responsibility
- Business Competence - Develops and sustains customer relationship plans that lead to profitable, repeat business
- Innovation Competence - Develops and implements commercial models that optimise value and mutual benefit
- Drafting, Law and Practice Competence - Confident in a range of different agreements (pre-and-post award)
Essential Experience
Demonstrable experience in a Commercial setting from within a highly regulated industry such as Defence or Aerospace
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree educated or comparable work experience
- Accredited to IACCM (WCC) member status or higher
- CIPS or MCIPS qualified

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Bristol facility with an expectation of being onsite 3 days per week on average and will require travel to various QinetiQ sites such as Boscombe Down, Farnborough and Abbeywood.

The QinetiQ facility in Bristol is part of the company’s broader operation focused on defence and technology innovation. The site houses a diverse team of engineers, scientists and technical professionals who bring expertise to various projects ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Please note that all applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
