About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Completion Manager to join a major UK offshore wind development during a critical phase of delivery. Working as part of a high-performing project team, you will support the Completion Manager in overseeing completion, commissioning, and handover activities across multiple offshore and onshore assets.
This position is ideal for a commissioning or completions professional with offshore wind, oil & gas, or large-scale infrastructure experience who is passionate about delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Completion Manager in the delivery of mechanical completion, commissioning, and handover activities across major project packages including:
- Offshore foundations
- Inter-array and export cable systems
- Offshore substations
- Wind turbine generators
- Manage and maintain the project Completion Management System (CMS), ensuring:
- Accurate progress tracking
- Documentation control
- Punch list management
- System readiness reporting
- Coordinate closely with contractors, commissioning teams, package managers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of completion milestones.
- Monitor progress against commissioning and handover schedules, identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery.
- Ensure all activities comply with UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations, project safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead and participate in:
- System walkdowns
- Punch list closeout activities
- Operational readiness reviews
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of commissioning dossiers, handover certification, and final project documentation.
- Deputise for the Completion Manager at project meetings and during offshore execution activities when required.
- Champion a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement across commissioning and completion processes.

Requirements
Essential
- Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in completion, commissioning, or handover activities within:
- Offshore wind
- Oil & gas
- Major infrastructure or energy projects
- Demonstrable experience working on UK offshore projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- UK CDM Regulations
- Offshore construction practices
- Completion and commissioning methodologies
- Experience using Completion Management Systems such as:
- PIMS
- MCPlus
- GoCompletions
- Similar industry-standard platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable
- Previous experience working on large-scale offshore wind developments.
- Offshore certifications including:
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
- HUET
- BOSIET
- Chester Step Test
- Familiarity with project handover processes and operational readiness planning within renewable energy projects.
