Opportunity for an experienced data protection professional

About the Role

An opportunity for an experienced data protection professional to join a healthcare regulatory body as a Deputy Data Protection Officer (DPO) on a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

As Deputy DPO, you will join the Transformation and Technology Services Directorate, providing data protection advice to the organisation, focusing particularly on complex data protection matters and those relating to professional regulation. You will also conduct reviews of information rights requests and data protection complaints as well as oversee the Council’s data protection and privacy compliance programme and maintain and develop the privacy management framework.

Requirements

To be considered, you will be a GDPR Practitioner or hold an equivalent professional data protection qualification. You should also have substantial experience of providing data protection advice within a public sector or regulatory environment.

Terms

On offer is a 12-month contract, offering a salary between £58,000-£64,000 (depending on experience) and hybrid working, two days a week required in the office (London).
